Chairperson’s Message – A Vision Rooted in Faith & Empowerment

Empowering Women through Deen & Dunya – With Heart, Purpose, and Perseverance

Umme Hajira is a pioneer in faith-based education for women, whose inspiring journey began in 2005 from the classrooms of Dar Al Ayman, Al Hidayah, and Aspire College of Excellence. Despite early marriage and the challenges of raising four children within a joint family, her unwavering vision and deep-rooted passion for education never faded.

Guided by her mentors and teachers—Sheikh Abdus Salam Madni, Sister Zareena Mazhari, and Sister Umm Zaid—she went on to complete her BA and MA in Islamic Studies, while nurturing not only her own family but also the dreams of countless young women seeking meaningful education grounded in Islamic values.

Today, as the founder of Xcel College for Women, she leads with a bold vision: to provide holistic education that nurtures the mind, spirit, and heart—combining academic excellence with spiritual growth.

Under her leadership, Xcel has become a sanctuary for women from all walks of life—whether young or mature, passed or failed, married, divorced, or widowed—offering them PUC (Karnataka Board), BBA, BA Psychology, and B.Com (Bangalore North University), all integrated with rich Islamic Studies.

From our fully furnished hostel with home-cooked meals and dedicated care, to tajweed, hifz, da’wah training, counseling sessions, field trips, Eid parties, and job placements—Xcel is a vibrant, values-driven space where education feels like home.

Our outreach even extends to the next generation through Xcel Preschool, nurturing young minds with phonics, Islamic manners, and early education rooted in values.

“I was once a young girl with dreams and doubts—now I stand with a vision, not just for myself, but for every woman who thought her time had passed. At Xcel, we believe it’s never too late to begin, and every step you take with us brings you closer to both success and serenity—in this world and the next.”
